Abstract expressionist depiction of values, original commissioned painting.

100cm x 150cm

Artist: Rania Laing

This client had been working hard to overcome the resistance of negative energies which took on the shape of a bullfight in the corporate culture. Through cultural transformation and moving into a positive business model, they had successfully overcome resistance. There was sadness and grief but clarity and optimism had established themselves in moving forward. Momentum had already taken hold and this piece commemorated the team's journey to success, honouring those that made the transformation to healthy positive patterns.

About the commissioning process

The commissioning process starts with a 2hr coaching session, exploring the objectives for the art piece and examining, in depth, the positive values and energies that will be represented in the final work.

The piece is then produced to the agreed brief with regards to levels of abstraction,  size and investment and when finished, delivered to you, complete with its Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist.

About the artist

Rania Laing studied Fine Art in the UK, completing her foundation course at Middlesex University and graduated with a BA (Honours) degree from Derby University. Rania writes about her role, as an artist, below.

"You feel an accumulation of knowledge and experience but a block to an adequate outage of a coherent message that expresses the profound depth. All expressive arts are a secondary interpretation of the actual process of living in the energy of existence. I exist. You exist. We are surrounded by signs and symbols of living existence. The only difference of our interpretation is our perception. We see the same objects, yet associate our own definitive meaning. We live the same event, yet extract contradicting understandings of its message and impact.

Ancient philosophies and modern religions have strived to teach us the profundity of life. Yet, nothing other than the conscious process of living our unique path of existence can be our teacher, mentor and guide.

The inward journey of awareness brings to us, paradoxically, expansive rewards. Inside you and I is the entire Universe of creation. In your core, away from the external interpretations of others, are your distinctive gifts. So familiar to only you that you dismiss their characteristic strengths. You disregard the positive impact of their application in favour of an attempt to replicate the gifts of others. Often you stumble on mimicking another replica, influenced by external messages of achieving the impossible riches of idols resulting in a distracting from your values.

In my work, I explore values as a return to the essence of creation. The energy of an awakened soul as it adjusts to the same flow of previous existence yet, with the irreversible expansion of the inner Universe.

In the semiology of ancient philosophy, animals and nature take on archetypal roles as signposts to the path of inner discovery of our individual gifts and direction. As subject matter to explore the transference of positive energies through painting, they offer me an exciting realm for my internal investigative process.

Without further explanation, I invite you to step away from the critical mind of what you already know about expressive arts. Experience the visuals with your inner eye and become aware of your individual thoughts and meaning."
